Kayak surfing is perhaps the most accessible excitement you can have and stay legal! Whether on a Sit-on-Top or Sit-Inside kayak you can quickly learn the skills, knowledge and etiquette necessary to be safe in the line-up and be riding waves and having fun in no time at all.

One of the cool things about the sport of  is that you can test your skills against both the conditions and your peers in surf kayak competitions.

The US West Coast Surf Kayak Association is your organisation for the competitive side of the sport if you live on the west coast of the US. Every two years the World Surf Kayak Association organizes the World Surf Kayak Championships in different countries around the world.  The next World Championships are in Portugal in July 2009.

Unfortunately Gina and I will not be able to make it to the World Championships this year and we wish the team the very best of luck!
