Mendocino Rock Gardening

August 25 - August 26

Mendocino has some of the most beautiful rock gardens in the world.  Many of the features in this area are located off shore in deep water or behind protective reefs, allowing us to paddle safely up close to the rocks, to play using the swell and surge, and to explore the wonderful caves and arches this area has to offer.

On this trip, you will learn and practice strategies for paddling and playing in rock gardens all while exploring the beautiful Mendocino Coast.

This 2 day trip includes camping on Friday and Saturday nights at the Russian Gulch campground. We will spend our days rock gardening our way down the Mendocino Coast, playing as we go, and our evenings around the campfire. The trip will be led by Kelly Marie Henry and Jennifer Yearley. Paddling destinations will be determined by conditions

Recommended previous training: Introduction to the Surf Zone and Introduction to Rock Gardens (or equivalent)

For questions about this trip contact Kelly (henry.kellymarie@gmail.com) or Jennifer  (jyearley@gmail.com) directly.
