Rough Water Rescue
February 17 @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm$109
What: Bring your rescue skills to the next level! In this class taught by Jennifer Yearley, we will transfer the rescue skills you already have into a very fast moving, rough water environment. The class will be conducted in the Yellow Bluff tide race on a 5.6 knot ebb. For those who engage in or are interested in engaging in rough water paddling, being able to perform effective assisted and self-rescues in the environments in which you will be paddling is essential.
Who: This class is intended for sea kayakers with solid flatwater and/or moderate conditions rescue skills and solid rough water boat handling skills. A combat roll, while helpful, is not required.
When: The class will run from 10:30am to 2:30pm, Sunday February 17th.
Where: The class will launch out of Horseshoe Cove.
